Frequently asked
What does this cost?+
It's all free during soft launch. Generate an AI birthday card you can print at home, download it, and it's yours. No catch.
How long does it take to generate a card?+
About 2-3 minutes. This AI birthday card generator uses OpenAI's image model, which thinks carefully about composition, colors, and likeness. The wait is worth it - every card is one of a kind, with no template behind it.
How do I print a card at home?+
It works like a printable AI card maker: the AI designs the card, you print it. Download the print-ready PDF - a full 8.5×11 sheet with the art on the right half (any home printer works). Print on cardstock, landscape, at 100% "Actual size", then fold in half with the art facing out. No trimming. The inside stays blank for your handwritten message. Full printing guide →
What if I'm not happy with how my card turned out?+
You can go back and adjust your inputs or try a different style - each generation comes out a little differently.
What kind of emails will you get?+
If you save, download, or email yourself a card, we may occasionally send product updates and a bit of news about what we're building - a few emails, never a flood. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe, and we never sell, rent, or share your address. We don't use tracking cookies either. Full details are in our Privacy & Terms.
Who's behind this?+
Hi, I'm Gabriel, a data consultant in LA. The card aisle at CVS had gotten increasingly depressing to me, and around the same time I was learning to code with Claude Code. So I built this - for myself, and for anyone who wants to make something fun and personal for the people they love. The part I love most is the DIY: download the PDF and print it at home on cardstock right away. I've made 20+ for friends and family, and they land because they're personal (and honestly, AI is pretty creative). It doesn't take the human element out. It just beats a generic pop-out card. The feedback so far has been great - people love that each card is one of a kind, with no template, and better quality than what's on the shelf (and free during the soft launch). Building this also sharpened the AI work I do at GLF Analytics: connecting image-generation APIs into a real product, writing the code, and wiring up the automations behind it. There's a learning curve to all of it, but the real engine is just you and your ability to tell the AI what you want. 500+ cards created to date, and counting. I even wrote about building it.
