How long does it take to generate a card?+
About 2-3 minutes. This AI birthday card generator uses OpenAI's image model, which thinks carefully about composition, colors, and likeness. The wait is worth it - every card is one of a kind, with no template behind it. On September 16, 2026 we upgraded every card on the site to OpenAI's gpt-image-2.5 image model (the Sunburst release). Since September 19, 2026 every card renders at the model's highest quality setting, the one that best keeps a face true to the photo you upload.
How do I print a card at home?+
The AI designs the card, you print it. Email yourself the print-ready PDF: one 11 x 8.5 in landscape sheet with the art on the right half, so any home printer or print shop handles it. Print on cardstock (65 lb / 176 gsm), landscape, at Actual size on Letter or Fit to page on A4, then fold in half with the art facing out. No trimming.
